Seminar for Parliamentarians of Kazakhstan

    On March 23-24 a seminar for members of the Parliament of Kazakhstan was held in Moscow.

    The event was organized by the EAG, together with Rosfinmonitoring and the OSCE. It was held in the form of consultations regarding the draft AML/CFT legislation of Kazakhstan, which is still in parliament. The work of the Russian FIU and other Russian Ministries and agencies dealing with AML/CFT issues was also presented. 

    The EAG has provided comments to the draft AML/CFT law of Kazakhstan in April 2006 and sent legal experts to Kazakhstan to participate in consultations with Parliamentarians.
